Festival which will be held outdoors at Cedar Creek in Olathe this fall. Located at K-10 Highway
and
Cedar Creek Parkway, this
annual lakeside park event is just 20 miles southwest of Kansas City in
suburban Johnson County. Admission
to the event is free.
Saturday, September 18, 10 am - 6 pm
Sunday,
September 19, 10 am - 4 pm.
The Festival hosts the local Plein Air Event, Olathe Visual Artists tent, live "Artists in Action" tent, and a
Children's Art tent as well as an active Purchase Patrons program, live music,
entertainment, and a variety of concessions.
The Festival is funded
in part by a grant from the Kansas Arts Commission,
and has several community and corporate sponsors. The Festival is run
by the Board of the Hidden Glen Arts Festival, a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization.
Work is accepted in
painting (oil, acrylic, etc.), watercolor, mixed media, fiber,
furniture, glass, jewelry, photography, pottery, printmaking, drawing,
sculpture, and wood. Application and fee deadline is April 16, 2010. Please check website below for particulars.
